A TRUE CHALLENGE



Established in 1909  and set in secluded parkland, this picturesque course at the seaside town of Withernsea in the East Riding of Yorkshire offers you a genuinely warm welcome. Enjoy a challenging round of golf on a course that offers mature fairways with superb greens, with many features.

SCORE CARD

 

Hole 1:-  The green in guarded by bunkers on both sides on your                approach.

Hole 2:-  A longish par 3, bunkers on both sides of the green and                pond to the back.

Hole 3:-  Two good shots to reach this good size green.

Hole 4:-  A par 5 requires a drive to top of the hill, then a fairway                 shot over the ditch and shot over the 14th green. Then                 a wedge over the trees to a sloping green.

Hole 5:-  A true shot to the green with bunkers left and right.

Hole 6:-  Index 1 par 4 a good drive, with out of bounds on the                    right and left. Then an iron into a two tiered green.

Hole 7:-  A shortish par 4, but with danger if trying to go for the                   green with a ditch at driving length. Best to lay up short                 and fire a short iron to the green.

Hole 8:-  A par 5 with OOB on the right

Hole 9:-  With the green protected by bunkers left and right.

Hole 10:- The green in guarded by bunkers on both sides on                       your approach.

Hole 11:- A par 3, bunkers on both sides of the green with a                         pond in front of the tee.

Hole 12:- A par 5 , requires a good shot to clear the ditch or lay                  up, and then 2 shots to  reach this good size green.

Hole 13:- A par 4 requires a drive to top of the hill, with still a                        fairway shot to this green.

Hole 14:- A true shot to the green with bunkers left and right.

Hole 15:- Dog leg par 5 a good drive, with out of bounds on the                   right and left. OOB pound lays to your left. Can be                         made in two into a two tiered green.

Hole 16:-  A shortish par 4, but with danger if trying to go for the                   green with a ditch at driving length. Best to lay up short                 and fire a short iron to the green.

Hole 17:- A par 4 with OOB on the right, needs two good shots.

Hole 18:- With the green protected by bunkers left and right.
